Summer Camp Curbside Drop-off and Pickup: For each family's convenience, all camp drop-off and pickup will occur at the Memorial Stadium roundabout at 5th and Harrison across from MoPOP. 

Campers will combine the wonders of science and the creativity of art through hands-on experiments and creative projects that encourage curiosity and imagination. Campers will explore topics like color theory, textures and natural materials as they build, sculpt, and create using science. 

Activities May Include: 

• Spin art using centripetal forces
• Fizzy reactions with baking soda and vinegar
• Painting on canvas ramps with paint balls
• DIY Rube Goldberg machines with cardboard and mixed materials

Campers will work their creative hands and minds in this open-ended camp. Doodles will come to life with 3D sculptures inspired by the element of art: line. Kids will get to experiment with a variety of dry art media and work together on a large mural project.

Activities May Include: 

• Shrinky Dinks
• Wire and pipe 3D sculptures 
• DIY hanging mobiles with beads, yarn, and more
• Experimentation with oil pastels, crayons, colored pencils, charcoal
• Drawing with light and light tables and optics/physics/color theory exploration

In Magic Museum, your camper will get to enjoy a curriculum provided by instructors from both Seattle Children’s Museum and Seattle Children’s Theater. In the mornings, we'll launch Alka-Seltzer rockets and explore fizzy fusions to become wizards of our own. 

In the afternoons, teaching artists from Seattle Children's Theater will help us explore a fantastical world full of clues left by colorful and mysterious characters. Students will discover new ways to use voices, bodies, and imaginations to piece together their gathered clues and solve mysteries.

• Potion mixing and reaction observation using the scientific method
• Slime chemistry and creations
• Magical engineering 
• Sun prints
